Browser problems

I click on internet explorer, and it takes a few attempts before it will
work. I have to close the window as it does nothing? when i do it says "not
responding" I do this a few times before it works. Then after a while of
surfing it stops responding again, and i have to close the damn window again?
IT'S DOING MY BLOODY HEAD IN!
Can somebody please explain to a complete idiot... how to fix this??????

Try the Internet Explorer NG, state your Operating system etc. They may be able to
assist. More information you give the better chance of assistance.
