browser locks up

I've tried installing and re-installing the newest version
of IE, and everytime i open the browser and load a webpage
it will be fine for a moment. But say i go to Yahoo, and
when i type in a word and hit search the whole thing locks
up. What do i do?

There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite).
