Browser Issue - Need Help

I use yahoo as my home page. When I click on links in
yahoo (weather, sports, etc) all is fine and I get the
the page I want. The same is true if I enter a URL in the
address bar. However when I enter a term in the search
field of Yahoo, I immediately get an error 404 message.
I am able to go to google via the address bar and
searches via Google work fine. I tried to search in yahoo
from another computer (thinking that it was a problem at
yahoo) on my home network and it worked fine - can anyone
provide help? Could a connection setting be wrong??
