Fred Pickering

When I click on a link in OE email it opens IE okay but the screen remains
blank and the link address does not appear in the address window. I have to
return to the email, copy the link address and paste it into IE address
window. This phenomena has suddenly happened. No changes to computer,
checked fro virii, malware, spyware etc. Any help?

Hi Fred (not Frank),

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 urlmon.dll. Then go to:
IE/Tools/Internet Options/Programs/Reset Web Settings.

Hyperlinks not opening:

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 actxprxy.dll and then repeat the
process for regsvr32 shdocvw.dll.

Check your settings here:

Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/File Types. Scroll down to
URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol/Advanced/Edit.

Under Application used to perform action it should read:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome

The "Open in a New Window" Command May Not Work. Go to Start/Run and type
each of these in:

regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Urlmon.dll

<LOL> Not Frank! This was due to an earlier post.) As for the latter,
lets just go with who cares.

Thus keeping us within yet another post from tonight as to the KISS method.
That said, you are most welcome and glad all is well. Thanks for the
feedback, it is gratefully appreciated.)
