Broadband dial-up

I cannot connect to broadband. When I am plugged into a
broadband connection and open explorer, the dial-up
window pops up asking for phone # and password.

I have created a broadband network connection and enabled
automatic detection, but I cannot connect. I have tried
deleting duplicate .dll files per the IE troubleshooting.

Any other ideas??
