these two problems began simultaneously:

1. at logon, i get an error message "error loading
c/windows/downloaded program files/bridge.dll. the
specified module could not be found". in addition, all
of a sudden, my quicklaunch toolbar does not stay on and
does not retain the order i put the icons in. i had not
had these problems until this week. i have had the
system for six months. can anyone help?!?!?!?!?!?!?

"Bridge.dll" is a remnant of a spyware file and should be deleted.

Adware.WinFavorites (see "Deleting the values from the registry")

Download Ad-Aware 6.0 and scan your PC for the presence of spyware:

this is a virus but nothing can delete it you have to do it manually, go to the file where it is telling you where the virus is and delete it there you also may need to go to regedit (start, run, type regedit).
click plus signs on
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE
MICROSOFT
WINDOWS
then double click RUN
in the right box you should see a file with bridge.dll on it delete this
