All I can tell you is that in the past year we have had literally
hundreds of
people report here that their Windows Mail problems disappeared
after uninstalling Norton or McAfee. It often takes several months
before the antivirus-caused corruption problems start appearing.

I find all this very intersting about Norton causing problems. I know I
am
probably going to regret saying this but Norton came with my lap top
and have
just renewed and so far it has not caused me any problems. Also Norton
says
that it is compatible with Windows Mail & Vista. Is Norton really the
problem? I must say every time I read this I wonder when my W.M is
going to
pack up or is it just in a few cases this happens?
:
How stupid that the computer comes with vista and norton and they dont
work
together...you think microsoft or norton would have fixed by now!
Thanks anyway..was hoping it was an easy fix..
:
Norton is likely causing your problem.
Replace Norton with the free AVG
http://free.grisoft.com/ or Avast
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html, and Windows Firewall and
Windows
Defender. Disabling Norton is not enough. You need to completely
uninstall
it. If it doesn't solve the problem, get rid of Norton anyway.
Norton is
known to cause many problems in Vista which don't always appear
immediately.
Download and run the Norton Removal Tool.
