Bottom Status Bar is missing

My bottom status bar is no longer visible when I start
explorer. How do I get it back?
 
Click on 'View' from the main menu at the top and
select 'Status Bar'.

NOTE: a tick should be displayed on the right hand side
of the word 'Status Bar' when it is active/opened.
