Border around desktop screen

I have XP Home and recently installed SP2. My desktop is
set to 800 x 600 pixels. After the install my desktop
doesn't fill the screen. Is has a 1 inch border each side
and a 1/4 inch border on top and bottom. How can I get
rid of this? Thanks for any help offered.

Hello Diane,

That is cause by your monitor, there should be controls right on the monitor
that can fix that. A series of buttons or knobs.

Use your monitor settings.
