BOOTP to WinXP - how to, or where to find info

I need to learn how to setup a diskless PC to use Boot Prom to connect to a
Win2003 server and load WindowsXP (from Terminal Services I guess).

What I need in the end, is a diskless PC that runs WinXP.

Can anybody point me in the right direction for information?

Thanks,

Randy

I don't think I've ever seen Windows XP running on a diskless workstation in
the traditional sense that most people who talk about bootp are thinking of.
There are lots of simple clients out there for Terminal Server, however.
http://www.wyse.com/ will get you started if that is what you're after.

I'm always surprised at "professionals" who STILL have to be asked "Have you
checked (event viewer / syslog)".

Thanks guys. I have found emboot.com, and together with iSCSI I should be
able to have a PC boot WinXP from an disk-image on a server, via a NIC in
the client PC.

By diskless PC, I mean a PC without a hard disk drive. It seems that
vibrations in my environment are killing the hard disks, so the idea of a PC
booting up WinXP without a disk drive will be perfect.

best regards,

Randall
