Booting with USB mouse

I

Using: Windows XP Pro, SP2 5.1
With USB Mouse by saitek

When booting windows with the usb mouse i get a blank/black screen and
it stucks.
Only after i disconnecet the usb mouse the windows load it self just
fine then i can reconnect the mouse saftly.

I was googling alot this week and didnt find anything, but i am aware
this problem occure for many of windows xp users.

Is there any fix for that?

Thanks.

Older PCs can sometimes have problems with USB mice and keyboards. I'm sure
that some PCs have a setting in the BIOS for USB mice but I can't check this
as my PC pre dates USB input devices. You could check your motherboard
manufacturers website to see if a BIOS update will solve this but given the
risk of a bad flash I would be more inclined to buy the adaptor than take
the chance.

I have already updated my bios and i have a new computer (AMD 2600+
with Asus 78vx (somthing like that))

Thanks!

Open your BIOS and enable USB legacy support.
