Booting Problem

My computer was shut down due to a power failure. I
cannot get Windows XP Home to boot. I have tried console
recovery, startup disk, nothing allows me to get by the
message page that gives me choices on how to start XP;
safe, safe with command promts, normal, etc. I get the
windows OS logo when the computer starts but then the
choice menu comes up. None of the choices work.

Any suggestions?
