When I put this PC together, I installed an ASUS board and a 200G SATA
drive. I'm looking for info on doing the XP Pro install to boot from a
partition on that drive. Do I press F6 on the setup screen, and install
drivers in that fashion so that setup will see this drive?

You will find most of what you require in the user manual.

In BIOS you will need to define the RAID level; given that you have one
disk, this will be basic.

Ensure that you manage to copy the correct drive for the RAID 'type' onto a
floppy disk.

During the initial setup phase, you will be prompted to press F6: yes you're
right.

If you have the correct drivers, then XP will continue the setup phase,
allowing you to partition and format the drive.

That's kinda one of the questions though ... is it going to be the RAID
controller that I'll be using to see the SATA drive in the CMOS?

Sorry, it's time to get out the manual. What is the model no.
of the motherboard and what does the owner's manual say?
