Bootable floppy but file is >4 Meg

I'm trying to create a boot floppy and the file download is given at:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...33-7773-4f59-bd90-63cacb89ac4e&DisplayLang=en

However, the file is over 4 meg. No way jose on a 1.45M floppy. How am I
supposed to create a floppy bootable disk when the files are too big to put
on a floppy? I am attempting to rebuild the OS (XP), and therefore need to
boot from other than the hard drive.

Can't even boot from my CD drive, even when XP is in the drive and it is the
only bootable drive.

However, the file is over 4 meg.

The link contains the download for setup floppy disk creator. You'll need 6
blank floppy disks to create a bootable set of floppies. See here for more
information:

http://www.petri.co.il/create_setup_boot_disks_for_windows_xp.htm

Have you checked the boot order in the BIOS? You may need to set CD/DVD
drive as the 1st boot device, followed by floppy or fixed drive.

No, you don't put this file on the diskette, you *run* this file, and it
will create a set of six diskettes.

The normal way to reinstall Windows is to boot from the Windows CD.

Why not? What happens when you try? Are you sure you have correctly set the
BIOS boot order to boot from the CD before the hard drive?
