Boot Problem

John

Had to remove my old primary scsi drive and replace it
with a new one. Decided I may as well upgrade OS form NT4
to XP Pro at the same time. Now when I boot it freezes at
a point where I can just faintly see the XP Logo. Will
only successfully boot if I hit F2 to access the Scsi
Setup Utility and set the "Reset Configuration Data" from
default "NO" to "YES" and restart. As it always reverts to
default I have to do this every time I start. Boots fine
if I do Restart. Please help as I can no longer put the
kettle on after switching on machine while it boots!!!!

It seems this is an issue of your SCSI control
program, and does not really relate to WinXP.
Have you consulted the FAQs for your SCSI
controller?
