When I inserted boot disk and boot from the disk. It will show MS RAM Drive.
I don't know what is that. I had a very old computer 80836, and I inserted
windows 98 boot disk, and still able to boot from the disk. any ideas?

You have a Win98 emergency repair disk or emergency boot disk. It's a
good thing to keep around. It boots a DOS operating system that goes
on to create a "RAM DISK", which is a block of RAM that is made to look
and function like a real hard disk. Then, all the utility programs are
copied from the floppy to the RAMdisk and the RAM disk is made current.
That way you can use the various utilities without having to
constantly swap floppy disks. Another good feature of the rescue disk
is it has drivers for just about all the common CD-ROM drives, letting
you go off to other systems without having to get a working version of
Windows up.

thanks William!

Seems like I am able to use Win98 emergency repair disk in other non-Win98
machine. I am little surprised though. What do you think?
