boot disk access denied to administrator

Kim Aku

After I'd done some rather unwise stuff with Partition
Magic 5 from DOS (because it doesn't work from W2K) W2K refused to boot to its NTFS partition, saying it couldn't
find NTOSKRNL.EXE. I messed about a bit, but not much I
could do because W98 boot disk can't see NTFS, and anyway I was sure if I replaced that file, it would fail to find
another, and so on. So I decided to install another temp
version of W2K on the same partition so I could mess with
the original W2K and hopefully get it going again.

Installed W2K OK into NTFS2 folder, but when I try to view the boot drive C:\ it tells me access denied. What can I
do?

Change the permissions to the root (C:\) to Everyone Full Control.
