With Windows 98, I was able to open My Favorites by
moving the cursor to the left side of the screen. I now
have Windows XP and have not figured out how to do this.
Is it possible to open the bookmarks in this manor with
XP, or do I have to open and close with the toolbar every
time?

You can do this in explorer/IE if using fullscreen display. Add the
fullscreen button to your toolbar if it's not already there. With favorites
open and fullscreen on, it will then disappear when you click elsewhere, but
reappear when cursor points to left side of screen.
