Bookmark # on Page Header

Hi

I have put together a terminology page with the alphabet across the top in
table; each letter is a hyperlink to a bookmark in the body of the page. But
when I click on a letter say the letter 'M', the hyperlink will jump to the
bookmark and the page title will then read 'page name#M'. How do I stop it
from doing this and only have the page name on the title?

Many thanks - un-OptiManc

Is it likely that the page you are trying to load by the link hasn't got
the title in its HTML? Sometimes people omit this because of time
constraints!!

no, all the links on that page are to bookmarks on that page only and this
page has a Title.

Insert a bookmark (Insert > Bookmark) call it something relevant like "M"
through Frontpage (repeat this for each page - 26 times one for each
letter).

Then link to the bookmark in the normal manner (Insert > Hyperlink, then
choose "Bookmark" option).

The code would be something like:

<a name="M">Listings Starting with 'M'</a>

Then link to the above as <a href="#M">M</a> - this would be the underlined
link that jumps to the bookmark named "M".

Follow that format for each letter.

The issue with the pagename#M is just showing you that you're at the
bookmark point in the page.....I don't believe there's anything to supress
this. (I may be wrong....)

The only way to prevent that would be not to use bookmarks.
