Jumping to different sections of a one-page web

I am very new to creating web pages in FrontPage. What I would like to do is
have a one page web, which will be a lengthy information page. I want to be
able to have a way in which someone reading the page can click on a
button/link/bookmark & that will take them to a specific point in the
document. Would this may be as simple as having hyperlinks on the left hand
side of the page? and can a hyperlink be used to jump to a point in a
document, or would it be a bookmark?

I understand that there will be a bookmark in the actual text body, but is
there a way to have a "list" of bookmarks (maybe like a navigation bar on the
left?) that can be clicked on to jump to different sections in the text. I
am trying to create a web page for a friend, & he is insistent that he only
wants one page, which will be quite lengthy. Thx for your patience & input
to a newbie!

Kathy -

Look up bookmark in the help section. Basically, a bookmark is a
hyperlink to goes to a point on the same page. Easy to do.

You would manually have to create the links on the left to each bookmark.

Thx for your help. Once I knew what keywords I was looking for, I was able
to find it in the help section online.
