bogus IP addresses in routing table on Windows 2000 server

I recently ran the "route print" command on a server to check out what routes
it knew about.
I was alarmed to find an unusual route to a network, and then two more
unusual routes to hosts on the mystery network.
The mystery routes are as follows:
Active Routes:
192.168.234.235 255.255.255.255 127.0.0.1 127.0.0.1 1
192.168.234.236 255.255.255.255 192.168.234.235 192.168.234.235 1
192.168.234.255 255.255.255.255 192.168.234.235 192.168.234.235 1

I have tried using route delete, and it will work for the network part
(hence the network address 192.168.234.0 is not shown because of the
deletion). but when I attempt to perform "route delete" and then any of
these hosts or the broadcast, Windows says "no matching route to delete".
I have looked at the settings in Network Places. There is not a NIC
installed that holds the bogus IP's, and they are not secondary IP addresses
on the Primary NIC either.
When I ping from the server with the bogus addresses, the bogus addresses
respond.

That looks like a point to point connection. Do you have a RAS or VPN
connection to another site?
