Blurry video from PS3

I tried to make a slideshow with PS3 and used Dvd profile but the result is
blurry video.
I tried to use Papajohn's dvd profile and the video is not blurry anymore
but with flickering on high res areas making it unacceptable. Any cures
please?

Do not use the highest resolution, use the middle resolution. It is not
blurry and the border flickering area is not there.

Sorry I am newbie and I don't quite understand.
I intend to make a dvd to play on my tv. Should I choose the only one dvd
profile provided which is 640x480 ?
