Bluetooth Headset Pairing with XP

Hi there, I am really hoping someone will be able to help
me out with an interesting one involving a Bluetooth
headset (Sony Ericsson HBH-60), Windows XP Pro SP1 and
IBM-T30 ThinkPad.

I can get the IBM ThinkPad to find and partner with the
HBH-60, but it does not allow it to be used as an audio
device or gateway so that it can be used as a wireless
headset for the notebook.

I have an HP IPAQ 5550 with Pocket PC 2003 that allows
you to do this and I would have thought that there may be
a Bluetooth audio driver/gateway for WinXP Pro?

I am wanting to use these headsets in conjunction with my
users Voice over IP softphone clients, instead of cabled
headsets.

I would really appreciate any feedback.

Regards,
Conrad Birkett.

Hi there,

I had the same problem. I got a B/T headset and USB B/T adapter. I am able to install the driver for the USB but not able to activate the headset service from the control panel. It seems to be XP does not support such service. Anyone can help?

Cheers,
CM
