Hardware issue. See http://aumha.org/win5/kbestop.htm and click on the error
in the left hand pane.

Start/Run/type sfc /scannow (there is a space between the c and /)
insert XP CD and click OK. This will cause XP to scan for corrupt and/or
missing files and replace them. Happy putering!

Thanks, planned on trying sfc. Do I need to reinstall SP1 afterward since the replacement files will come from an older XP Home CD?
