That does not help me so much , it just says that I reset my drivers, I just
installed a new xp and new drivers, so I dont think that is the issue.

I did read it tho, is the stop error 000000a always driver issue?

Unless you installed the wrong driver (driver for different hardware
than you have, driver for different OS version than you have, etc.).
Could be the latest driver version is bad and you need to use a prior
version.

I have had this problem5 months now and its getting worse, I get more

Have you look in the Event Viewer logs to see if a warning or error gets
issued at the time of a BSOD?

Do you run software to monitor the temperatures (CPU and system)?

Hi File,
This error always refer to a bad Driver/Hardware installed and also been
related to memory:
Poor contacts, bad chips, wrong speed and mismatched Type. Try to Start with
One 1G or one stick of RAM and see if that will help.

You can use this driver verifier command:
verifier.exe click [OK]
First try to eliminate hardware, by going to Device manager and check by
expanding the Plus [+] to see all devices listed, if there is a
malfunctioning device or conflicting device it will show in Device manager.
Run the System file Checker (sfc).
You mentioned that this a new Install, Did you install the latest drivers
for the Motherboard from the Manufacturer not from Microsoft Updates?, here
is the link for your ASUS Mobo please read and expand the Plus [+] to see
what the sub is about and download the right driver specs for your Operating
system as there are 32-Bit and 64-Bit and also XP and Vista drivers.
Note: see the other link if your Socket not 775 LGA type you can select
another one from the main window for the download.

How do I change the speed of my memory?

You can't.

Actually, memory doesn't have a speed. It has a speed *rating*, and
that's the speed it's been tested to run at reliably without a
problem.

You can't change its speed rating either.

The speed it actually runs at is determined by a motherboard setting.
If you run it at more than its rated speed (called overclocking) you
run the severe risk of errors, and I strongly recommend against doing
that.

I mean with speed (setting in the BIOS, caches), just concentrate on the
real issue which is a new installation need the new drivers from the Mobo
manu Website. It doesn't mean you have 2GB of RAM that will be okay, are they
showing 2GB or just a spec for the system?.
Sometimes more memory can be to much and cause problem with a system cannot
handle this capacity of Memory.

Please in the future Include the post you replying to!.

I dealt with this problem for over a year. The one suggestion/solution
that was NEVER mentioned anywhere was the one I found myself- a faulty BIOS
chip.
Well, maybe the ROM on the chip, who knows- anyhow, I bought one from my MB
manufacturer for seven bucks, swapped them in under ten minutes, and the BSOD
is now "DOA" on my machine....

Well, did you change the BIOS setup in the first place to alter the
speed settings for memory? Did you change settings to do overclocking?
In the BIOS, have it auto-detect the memory to see what the SPD (serial
presence detect) on the memory module says to use.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_Presence_Detect

Using the SPD settings will run the memory at its rated specs.
