Blue Screen

My computer was fine until i installed service pack 3 for windows xp. Then
after that i keep getting a blue screen that pops up then restarts my
computer every time i log on. Does anyone know why this is happening or have
had the same problem and know how to resolve it? If so, please let me know.

For WinXP SP3, press the F8 key while the computer is booting.

The "Windows Advanced Options Menu" display will appear.

Arrow down to "Disable automatic restart on system failure" and press enter.

The next display will be the normal "Please select the operating system to
start:".

As normal, select "Mocrosoft Windows XP Professional".

The next time a BSOD happens, Windows will will stop and allow you to view
the error code.

What is the make and model of your PC?

Also, follow Jerry's directions to disable Automatic Restart and be sure
to jot down the entire error message so that you may include it in your
next post.
