after the win xp screen goes away I get a blue screen with - Stop: c000021a.
The windows logon process system terminate unexpectedly with a status of
0xc0000139. The system has been shut down. I have tried using ths "last
know good...." but to no avail. Anyone seen this or have any suggestions.
Thanks in advance

It's hard enough trying figure out the meaning of many Stop Error
messages and you are posting incomplete messages.

You can try:
How to install and use the Recovery Console in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307654/en-us

followed if you gain access by System Restore:
http://bertk.mvps.org/

If you get any opportunity to backup data files take it.

Also look at Warning / Error Reports in Event Viewer and copy here as
there should further information on the two Stop Error messages in an
albeit different format.

You can access Event Viewer by selecting Start, Administrative Tools,
Event Viewer. When researching the meaning of the error, information
regarding Event ID, Source and Description are important.

HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;308427&Product=winxp

A tip for posting copies of Error Reports! Run Event Viewer and double
click on the error you want to copy. In the window, which appears is a
button resembling two pages. Double click the button and close Event
Viewer. Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. This will paste the info from the Event Viewer Error Report
complete with links into the message. Make sure this is the first paste
after exiting from Event Viewer.

Hope this helps.
