hi,when iam playing a game(the italian job)at a part
where there is an explosion my pc crashes(bsod)and i get
error message stop 0x000000 8e
(0x0000005,0xbfa58e59,0xba754b8c,0x00000000)nv4_disp.dll
adress bfa58e59 base at bf998000, date stamp 3f25a978
i know that nv4_disp.dll are nvidia graphics drivers,these
are up to date as is my direct x (9b)i have also done the
directx tests and everything is ok ,my graphics card is
g force 3ti200 ihave 1700athlon with 512 ram 80gb hdd,any
help would be great thanks in advance .Neil

Neil,
This may be no better than a silly superstition, but whenever I update my
video drivers,
I then download and reinstall Direct X.
Not sure why it works, but it does.
In the sense that I never had a display problem since trying that method
from my old Voodoo to recent ATI and NVidia cards.
Also, it's worth checking the AGP setting in the BIOS (assuming its an AGP
card), to ensure its on its highest multiplier for a game like that.

May be worth a shot, until better advice shows up.
