I have two problems which have occured on seperate machines. On my machine I am suffering from crashes whenever fairly demanding actions are being performed (compressing batches of files etc) - these are the messages that are appearing
Page_fault_in_nonpaged_area (specifically referencing 'ntoskrnl.exe'
IRQL_Not_Less_Or_Equa
I'm told that bad RAM is usually the culprit but I've tried two seperate strips of RAM bought from different sources and both less than 3 months old. I've since formatted my hard disk and installed Linux and the problems seem to have stopped but I need to get windows back on my system as soon as possible (every time I repair or reinstall the same problem has been occuring
The second problem is on a friends machine and seems to be similar only the messages are
Out_Of_Scan_Rang
RDBSS.Sys the driver mistakenly marked a por
The system is difficult to diagnose as all components are brand new so if it's down to hardware I'm not sure where to start
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
