Blue Screen of Death....Help!

G

Guest

Was using Disc Copier to copy a CD. About halfway through the process, the
screen went blue with lots of text. Top line read "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL",
then lots of words about having to shut down. Technical Info line read
"STOP: 0X0000000A (0X00000016, 0X00000002, 0X00000000, 0X804E402a)"
Then it looked like it started to send some backup info to a disk or
something.
This happened again after I re-booted the computer and tried to copy the CD
again.
HELP!!!

Hi,

That error message indicates a driver issue. Troubleshooting it can be
lengthy. Check that your hardware and the drivers for it meet the
compatibility list:

ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/services/whql/hcl/winxphclx86.txt

Thanks for the reply. Will follow your advice.
Assume the same advice would hold true for the same blue screen phenomenon
with "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" as the title, yes? Came across that one
while runnind Mcafee Virus Scan.
