blue screen of death after W2k upgrade

I upgraded from win98 to win2k about a month ago.
Installed with SP2, immediately installed SP4. Had a few
issues with software that was not compatable with win2k.
I cleaned up and fixed those. Soon after fixing software
problems, the system would crash to the blue screen at
random times. Last couple of days, the system may crash
anywhere from during boot up waiting for me to logon to
sitting idle for an hour or more.

I've looked up the error codes (gotten many over the past
few days) in the knowledge base and have narrowed it down
to corrupt drivers, memory corruption or a hardware
issue.

Any similar problems out there?

Most common BSOD:
0x000000D1 IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL - ntoskrnl.exe
others:
0x000000D1 DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL - tcpip.sys
0x000000C5 device driver has corrupted the executive
memory pool
0x00000050 PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA - win32k.sys
0x0000000A IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL - ntoskrnl.exe

There have been others. But with so many, I haven't been
writing all of the info down.

thanks for any help.
