Blue Screen during gameplay (Halo 2)

Hi all, I am having problems with running Halo2 for Vista. I keep getting a
blue screen after a few minutes of play.
My system is as follows

-Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 1.8Ghz
-GeForce 8800GTX 768Mb - Installed drivers 163.44(beta), previous drivers
162.22 (same problems)
-2Gb Corsair XMS RAM
-Asus P5N32-E SLi Mobo
-OS - Vista Home Premium 32 bit, clean install

Y'day I got the following 2 different blue screens

i) STOP:0x0000008E (0x00000005, 0x8A81CE34, 0x99334A88, 0x00000000)

-collecting data for crash dump
-Initializing disk for crash dump
-Beginning dump of physical memory
-Dumping physical memory to disk

ii) win32k.sys
-page_fault_in_nonpaged_area
-STOP 0x00000050 (0x80917CC0, 0x00000001, 0x916DF92B, 0x00000000)
-win32k.sys-Address 916DF92B base at 916000000 Datestamp 45d3cc1d

I tried restarting the computer with a clean startup procedure - No Success
I also tried creating a new user account - No Success
My Nvidia driver won't allow me to change the troubleshoot section - Not
Possible
My DxDiag tool won't allow me to switch AGP texturing off - Not possible
I also updated the Video Driver - No success.

Can someone please give me a hand here as it is becoming frustrating to have
to reset the PC every 5mins.

I am using an XClio Stablepower 850W (x2 12V rails w/total of 70A)

I will try the memory stick switch.

Can you please explain more about the BIOS failsafe timings? (Current memory
timing is 4-4-4-12)

Cheers!

Is that a good one, I'm not up to date on my PSU brand quality, only ones I
remember are Antec, Enermax, and one that starts with an S.

Think it's just use the default memory settings instead of trying to tweak
the settings. if that's what your mobo says will work you're problably OK.

You might try googling MEMTEST86, make a bootable CD with memtest86 iso.
Reboot with the CD and see if MemTest finds any faults in your ram. Run the
test to completion, or until you start getting a bunch of errors.

Could also try Prime95 for stress testing memory or your CPU in Vista.

Good luck...

Thanks for the help you're giving. For your info y'day I got this blue
screen while playing FEAR:

IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
STOP:0x0000000A (ox404E9D63, 0X00000002, 0X00000000, 0X81CAF870)

I'm beginning to think it's a hardware or compatibility poblem. It's
probably m memory or Video card conflicting with something. I will try
memtest and let you know later.

Memory switch had seemed to solve the problem as I played FEAR for a good
15mins but then I got a message that 'Windows Explorer had stopped working'
and soon after got a blue screen.

The PSU got some very god ratings everywhere I read a review on it. It got
good ratings for delivering constant stable power so I guess that's ok. I
still think it's a hardware problem.

Cheers

CPU temp is 25deg celsius constant (Use liquid cooling)
System temp is at 35deg celsius constant too

I do not think it's an overheating problem.

Memtest gave me an error btw but after an overnight memtest session it hung
up but I definitely have at least 1 error.

Today played FEAR for a solid 30-45mins before it crashed (w/out blue screen
:), less frustrating at least

Thanks all.

10x for the update link but the Windows Installer keeps telling me that this
update is not for my system, so that is a no go simply because I can't
install it. Unless you know of a way to bypass this problem.

Hi all, it seems that updating the BIOS solved the problem. Been playing
games for more than a week now and no blue screens yet. Cheers for the help.
