Hi,
I'm having blue screen crashes on Win XP home edition
whenever I use the net.
At first I thought it might be my Isp, but I switched and
still have the same promlem.
The original blue screen message
was "Irql_not_less_or_equal"
I looked around the net a bit about this and heres what
I've already tried to fix it.

1.Update the modem drivers
When I update to the lateset version of modem drivers the
blues screen error changes to
"HSFHWICH.sys - address f04a5f44 base at fo49d000
datestamp 3d32be87"
Note HSFHWICH.sys is a file for the modem drivers

2. Check for irq conflicts.
Both the modem and the soundcard are on the same IRQ
05...the option to edit this is not available
in Device manager-Modem properties- resources tab.
and disabling the soundcard when using the modem does not
help.

3.Updating soundcard drivers...did not change anything.

Any ideas what I can do?

Greetings Ian,

First of all have you tried doing a virus scan on your computer. Most likely
you might have a trojan or virus on your pc.

You can also do an online virus scan. Check out this website:

Good Luck!
