Blue Screen after SP2 Download & Restart

The restart failed after the initial restart from the SP2
download and install. Subsequent immediate restart
attempts in "safe mode" or "last good configuration" also
failed. After an hour or so, a restart succeeded and SP2
was configured and things looked fine; a test restart was
also successful. The next restart(next morning) failed
and all subsequent. Any ideas. Thanks in advance.
