Hi,

If you are not a system administrator (and often not even the same
administrator who installed MSAS) then such situation happen. This is a bug
in the current Beta 1 release.

However, this isn't a bug that everyone sees. So--I think this is a defect
in your individual installation.

Here are two things to try:

1) Control Panel, add or remove programs, Microsoft Antispyware, change
update

see if that makes a difference to the behavior.

If it does not:

2) Control Panel , add or remove programs, Microsoft Antispyware, uninstall.

Delete the installation folder for Microsoft antispyware and all subfolders.
Typically this is c:\program files\microsoft antispyware. You will lose
access to any quarantined items, and all settings and customizations.

Then reinstall Microsoft Antispyware, taking care to be sure you are
installing the latest build (.615 has been out since July 18th) and are
logged in as the administrator user who will be using the product.
