Blocking Downloads

We just let our 9 yo on the net and he keeps downloading
misc. programs. Is there anyway we can block him from
downloading these programs.

Not to dis' your parenting skills but...

1. Tell him "No!" again. If he continues to do so, deny him internet
access.

2. Unplug the PC and put him to bed!

3. Tell him Santa's watching.

4. If all else fails (my dad used a belt)...

if you have xp then create a limited account for him and
don't let him see your long password of letters and numbers
combination.
but taking away the computer for a month sounds good.
also download spybot from safer-networking.org and update
and scan on easy to remove spyware that may now be on your
system.

and if you really don't want him to download lots of stuff
then get dialup.

give him a lmitied account on windows x

he still will be able to d/l but u WONT be able to install the programs he d/l's if his user account doesn't have ADMIN rights
