Make sure that you have installed the patch so the
computer is not at risk for reinfection. After you run
the removal tool it is also a good idea to run a virus
scan to make sure there is no lingering infections. If
you do not have AV software you can run a free scan at
one of the sites listed below...

Another precaution to take is to enable the internet
connection firewall...

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;283673 (how to enable internet connection firewall).

If all else fails microsoft provides free phone support
for virus issues, make sure you mention this when you
call.

Download patch and get more info for msblaster at...

http://www.microsoft.com/security/incident/blast.asp

If none of the above helps then the problem may possible
not be the worm, in this case you should be able to get
Windows to actually show an error by disabling the auto
restart option in the advanced system properties. With
this information you can repost to this newsgroup...

1. Go into SYSTEM in the control panel.
2. Click on the advanced tab.
3. Click on the settings button under startup and recovery
4. Remove check from automatically restart.
5. OK the settings and record info on the next shutdown.

Hope this helps!
