Blaster Virus/Problems with microsoft patch

I have the blaster virus, all of the removal programs i
use dont work, but they also say to download the MS03-039
patch. When i try to install this patch it says "Setup
could not verify the integrity of the file Update.inf.
Make sure the cryptographic service is running on this
computer". I suppose to get rid of this virus i need
that patch, so how can i fix this. I have checked that
the cryptographic service is running and have also
restarted it, help PLEASE.

Hi Brett,

Open Windows Explorer to C:\Windows\system32, right-click/rename the
catroot2 folder to catold. Then retry the patch installation. When finished,
there will be a new catroot2 folder and you can safely delete the old
renamed one.
