Blank Window displayed

I have just installed Windows SP3. I then tried to install McAfee.
When I start it I get a blank AcAfee Security Center screen. If I put
this CD in an SP 2 Window it displays. What is my problem with the SP3
system?

Upgrade McAfee... Or better yet dump it get AntiVir from Avira, it is free
and doing VERY well in the AV Comparatives for a while now.

Thanks for your suggestion but that's how I got into this mess.
Installed the highly rated AVG free anti virus after which I could not
shut downs the computer normally, had to "pull the plug"

Have you checked for program updates (not virus signature updates) at the
McCafee site?

As a side note, I have found that traditionally anti-malware software is
only good at preventing you from becoming infected. Once you are infected
the best methods of removing malware are the manual methods.
