Blank space between pages in Word

How do you set up Word to remove the blank space between pages as the
default. I usually have to click the space to remove it every time I'm in a
new document.
Thanks in advance.

There are two choices. One would be to use the Normal or Draft view.
That does not show either the Header or Footer region as well as the
right and left margin.

The other would be to go to Tools, Options, View and clear the checkmark
from Show white space between pages in Print Layout view. If you are
using Word 2007 - then the option is located in the Display tab.
