Blank page appearing

A

apolitical

I am running Vista. When I have been surfing the net and then hit the
close button, instead of going to my desktop, a blank page appears with
the work connecting on the taskbar.
My home page is google and that is set up right

Could someone tell me how I can get rid of this blank page appearing?
Help would be appreciated

Hi,

Click start and type "internet explorer" - one of the menu options will be
to launch it with no add-ons. Select this mode, browse normally, then
attempt to close it. Does it still do it? If not, then your problem is being
caused by a browser plug-in, and you need to disable it from loading when IE
starts. This is done under Tools/Manage addons/Enable or Disable.

If the suggestions by Rick Rogers did not cure your problem perhaps a
recently added or upgraded Startup program is causing your problem. (See my
post dated 11/22 dealing with the same problem.)
