blank media for dvd burner?

Hello, can any one help me? I just started my dvd's I am
using dvd+rw's Can I use dvd+r or is there a difference?
the dvd +r are a lot cheaper.Thanks ,Jay

Yes you can use DVD+R's. +R's are only writable once. +RW's are
rewritable.

I am not too familiar with DVD recorders. However, you should have received
an user manual/guide with the DVD recorder unit. In the manual/guide, there
should be a list of the accepted medias for the unit.

Also, if the DVD behaves like a CD recorder, then any DVD+R(W) media could
be used. As long as you do not use DVD-RAM or DVD-R(W) mediam which are a
total different DVD format.

Make sure your DVD burner is a DVD+RW burner and yes. If
it is a DVD-RW then you'll have to buy DVD-R's.
If it is a DVD+-RW (the plus on top of the minus) then you
can use any sort of media out there.

With an RW means they can be erased and reused (RW - ReWriteable),.
Just R (Recordable) is write once only, not re-usable. Also be quite
sure you get +R or +RW - there are also -R -RW which will not work with
a +RW drive
