Blank lines at the foot of the page.

As I type and fill more than a page, the cursor's position alternates between
a couple of lines above the end of the page's window and right down at the
bottom so any underlining is hidden by the window.

I would like to have at least one or two empty lines at the bottom of the
screen. How to I set the default number of lines between the end of the
typed text and the bottom edge of the screen?

Hi David:

You can't set the default position, but you can improve things.

1) Disable "Allow starting in Reading Layout" so the white space that
should be at the bottom of the page is displayed on the screen.

2) Check your Normal.dot template and make sure you specify a 2.5 cm (1
inch) bottom margin on your documents, so there is some white space to be
seen.

Hope this helps

Thank you for the help. Could you tell me what the full path files are for
each of those instructions? I do not know which of the menus contains the
option in the first suggestion or where/what the Normal.dot template is.

With respect, I don't think either of these solutions will help much. I
experience the same kind of problem on my display, and really the only thing
you can do is just occasionally drag the vertical scroll bar slider down
some. Sorry.
