blank emails in Outlook 2003

I have been getting multiple emails with blank messages in Outlook 2003. I do
not have AVG. I can read the messages online, but not after Outlook downloads
them. What do to?
 
Start Outlook in safe mode; do new e-mail show now their content?
Does it make a difference whether the mails are Plain Text or HTML?
