blank desktop

Here's a good one. Logged onto a Win2K Server as
Administrator and get no desktop or taskbar - just a
mouse cursor.

When I look at the Administrator folder, the desktop
folder and start menu folders are empty. I don't get
stumped often, but this one's got me.

Is the explorer task running ? What happens if you end it and restart it
from the task manager ?

I have also had the same problem for 2 weeks now. A blank desktop with no
icons. Have you managed to solve the problem?
