black screen

when i start up my computer all i get it a black screen on icon's or anything
no taskbar no start menu nothing

just wondering if any boddy has any info on this cause it's a pain in the
butt

Try the monitor on another computer to see if it is OK. You are telling us
nothing about your system or when this started. Without more info, I
suspect the monitor or video card.
