Black lines

I don't know why, but my screen now appears to be boxed
in a black boxed that goes around all the outside. Can
anyone help me? It wasn't like this before...

Have you changed your screen resolution settings recently?

If not, try looking at your monitor controls on your monitor first and see
if you can adjust the black border away horizontally and vertically.

Try the following...

Right clock on the desktop.

Goto Properties> Settings> Advanced> Monitor.

In 'Monitor settings' make a note of the current 'Screen refresh rate' and
make sure 'Hide modes that this monitor cannot display'.

Select a different screen refresh rate and click 'Apply'.

If the first attempt doesn't work, try the whole procedure again using a
different refresh rate each time.

If this doesn't work for you, you may need to reinstall your graphics
drivers, or adjust the controls on the monitor.

I do not think this has anything to do with your Windows
operating system. This seems like the monitor is not
putting the scan lines all the way to the edge of the
monitor. Most monitors have adjust controls on them.
Best to find your monitors documentation, if you do not
know how to adjust the monitor. But it is normally quite
easy.

Nope, I didn't change any settings, but thanks to the
posts I fized it. It was from the monitor. I just had to
adjust it horizontally and vertically. Thank you
