Bizarre windows xp printing problem

Pentium 4 1gb RAM windows xp pro sp2
HP deskjet 830C

Here's an odd problem that has started today:

I can't print in Notepad, Wordpad or Microsoft Word.

The document seems to print but nothing comes out, no
ink on the page, though the ink cartridge has been
moving across the page as if it was printing.

The font color IS set to black or automatic.
Happens in all and any documents.
I CAN print from Eudora email, Firefox or Internet Explorer
so there's ink in the cartridge and the printer does work/communicate
with the computer.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer but to no avail.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I like to add a printing problem here.

We got a Panasonic 7500 network printer for the office. Every machine
can print except any machine running MS Windows 2003 Server.

There are no drivers at the Panasonic website

I have not been able to find it anywhere else

Somebody came across this one
