Bizarre problem.

I occasionally use the fax feature on my HP nc8230 laptop. I have a separate
analog line for this. Lately I have found that I no longer hear a ring when I
am receiving a fax and no tone when it is complete. I also do not hear the
default "tada" sound when I complete sending a fax. I can no longer preview a
fax either. Last upgrade we did at the office was upgrade to Office 2007. The
last time I used the fax was before the update. Except for the sounds and
preview, everything is working. Sounds are set correctly in the control
panel. Can anyone help?
