I'm running Win XP SP2 on a Gateway 310XL - 2.6 GHZ with 512 Meg Ram.
Am getting BITS errors in the Administrative Tools/Event Viewer/System log.
The error states "The BITS job list is not in a recognized format. It may
have been created by a different version of BITS. The job list has been
cleared."
This error has appeared since I installed the Update for Background
Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) 2.0 and WinHTTP 5.1 (KB842773) around
July 14th.
Am unable to install this update since XP SP2 erased the uninstaller file in
the Windows directory.
I've tried the bitsadmin program, but it leads nowhere.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jerry
